AOH Division 1 Honor Guard – “The Wolfhounds”

The AOH Division 1 Honor Guard, proudly known as The Wolfhounds, stands as a visible symbol of faith, heritage, and brotherhood within the Ancient Order of Hibernians. With solemn reverence and unwavering discipline, the Wolfhounds fulfill one of the Order’s most sacred duties: attending and standing vigil beside the caskets of our Fallen Hibernian Brothers. In these moments of final farewell, the Honor Guard represents the enduring bonds of fraternity, ensuring that no Brother is ever laid to rest alone, and that his service to faith, family, and Irish heritage is honored with dignity and respect.

Beyond their ceremonial role at wakes and funerals, the Wolfhounds proudly march in parades and public commemorations, carrying forward the legacy of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Their presence serves as a living reminder of Irish Catholic values, cultural pride, and the generations of Hibernians who have gone before us. Whether in solemn silence beside a casket or marching smartly through city streets, the AOH Division 1 Honor Guard exemplifies honor, tradition, and steadfast commitment to Brotherhood.
